El batec de la dansa catalana ressona per Festa Major amb l’Esbart Mediterrània
L’actuació ha combinat música de cobla, danses populars i coreografies contemporànies per reivindicar la cultura tradicional catalana
La música de cobla i el ritme dels dansaires han omplert aquest divendres, 26 de juny, la plaça de l’Om, que s’ha convertit en un escenari de tradició i cultura popular amb l’actuació de l’Esbart Mediterrània per la Festa Major de Sant Cugat. Amb tot, la formació ha ofert un espectacle dedicat a la dansa catalana d’arrel tradicional que ha permes al públic al passat a través del moviment, la música i la tradició.

Acompanyat per la Cobla Marinada, sota la direcció del mestre Dani Gasulla i Porta, l’Esbart ha ofert un repertori que ha combinat danses populars amb coreografies de Salvador Mel·lo, Albert Sans, David Martínez, Laia Travé, Mercè Andrés, Marta Manyoses i David Gil. L’actuació també ha comptat amb la participació del cant d’Adrià Garcia Alegre i amb la direcció artística de David Gil, Esther Madrona, Anna Mayol i Francesc Picornell.
La proposta ha permès reivindicar la vigència de la dansa tradicional catalana i ha acostat al públic de la Festa Major un patrimoni que continua viu a través de noves coreografies, música en directe i la feina de les entitats culturals locals.
